STRAIKO Registration

Mission

This session will culminate with a public performance at the Missouri Botanical Garden Japanese Festival on Labor Day weekend!

Classes are scheduled for Sundays from 3:30-4:45 pm. Students must attend 6 of these 7 rehearsals.

Students will memorize two pieces, including performance kata. Your instructors will be the St. Louis Oswua Taiko performing members, including the artistic director of St. Louis Osuwa Taiko—Andrew Thalheimer.

Waiver

Note that taiko is a very physical activity. To participate in our classes, it is helpful if you are in good enough physical shape to handle a reasonable amount of exercise.

I understand that in the course of learning taiko -- like any activity -- I may sustain physical injury. I recognize that any injury is in no way the fault of St. Louis Osuwa Taiko or its members, and I agree to hold them blameless should any such injury occur.
